Results from the Generative Digital Footprint Observatory for Food in Spain
The Spain 2025 Generative Digital Footprint Observatory for Food has made it possible to analyze how the leading food and consumer brands linked to the food sector are positioned on the Internet, traditional search engines, and artificial intelligence environments. To this end, a three-pronged analytical methodology was applied, focusing on the digital footprint, the generative digital footprint, and reputational risk.
Following an analysis of the 30 brands included in the study, Galletas Gullón stands out as one of the best-positioned brands in the sector, solidifying its place among the leaders in the global ranking. Its digital presence combines a consistent brand narrative, a positive perception in user-generated content, and highly controlled reputational exposure, which reinforces its authority in today’s digital ecosystem.
Results for Digital Footprint, Generative Digital Footprint, and Reputational Risk
Galletas Gullón stands out as the leader in the Generative Digital Footprint ranking when its corporate history, product lines, and labor practices are mentioned; it also receives the highest score in open reviews on Facebook, with a 4.3 rating and an 86% recommendation rate, and ranks among the brands with the lowest reputational risk in digital and generative environments.
The GEO Challenge by Galletas Gullón
Galletas Gullón, a family-owned company with more than 130 years of experience in the food industry, faced the challenge of determining whether its leadership and brand recognition in the mass-market retail sector also extended to the digital and generative spaces. In a landscape where consumers are increasingly turning to AI tools, it was crucial to determine whether the brand maintained a solid, positive, and competitive presence with low reputational risk compared to other major food brands in Spain.
What have we done at GEO and Huella Digital Generativa for Galletas Gullón in 2025?
To boost visibility, improve Galletas Gullón’s generative digital footprint, and reduce its reputational risk on traditional search engines, digital platforms, and AI-powered search engines, we developed a GEO strategy focused on enhancing the brand’s authority and presence in search queries related to the company, its products, its reputation, the work environment, and its positioning within the food industry.
The project began with a technical, semantic, and indexability audit to identify opportunities for improvement on the website and across the brand’s key digital assets. Based on this analysis, we optimized the information architecture, structured data, categories, product pages, and corporate content, making it easier for Google and AI-powered search engines to more accurately identify the relationship between Gullón, its product lines, its unique selling points, its history, and its brand attributes.
We also strengthened the company’s semantic authority on the web and in relevant external sources, giving greater visibility to its certifications, manufacturing processes, innovation, awards, corporate recognitions, media presence, and institutional messages. In addition, we worked to ensure consistency across GEO, PR, media content, social media, and digital reputation to foster a consistent narrative across search engines, social media, indexed media, and generative responses.
The result was a stronger, clearer, and more interpretable digital footprint for search engines and artificial intelligence, capable of reinforcing the positive perception of Galletas Gullón and reducing exposure to reputational risks in the new generative digital environment.
